St Mary’s Holiday Club 2026: 10th – 14th August

We are delighted that our fun-packed Holiday Club will be running this year from Monday 10th – Friday 14th August – please do join us!

Holiday Club is open to primary school age children from those currently in Reception to year 6. It is a fun-packed activity week led by our Vicar, Revd Rachel and a wonderful team of adult and teenage volunteers.

Our theme for this year is ’Kingdom Builders’, so get ready for lots of Lego, Minecraft and Roblox fun!

Each day, children will rotate in their groups between sports and outdoor games, the craft tent, thinking sessions and some fun one-off activities.

Holiday Club runs from Monday 10th – Friday 14th August 2026, 9.30am – 1.00pm each day. Children will need a packed lunch each day, sensible footwear and clothes suitable for the weather.

We have been able to keep to our 2025 prices at £75 per child, with a sibling discount for more than one child of £60. If you would prefer to pay in instalments, or your child would like to attend but the cost will be prohibitive please email to let us know – your request will be treated confidentially.

We have 48 spaces and in previous years it has always sold out quickly with a waiting list, so do book early if your child would like to come along to avoid disappointment.

If you have any queries about Holiday Club please contact Ailsa Hulme.

We hope you can join us for a fun-filled week!

St Mary’s Patronal Festival: Sunday 14th September, 11.00am

All are invited to join us on Sunday 14th September, for our annual Patronal Festival, when we celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary who our church is dedicated to, and the founding of St Mary’s over 900 years ago.

There will be a single, combined service at 11.00am, followed by a Sausage Sizzle, bring and share salad and pudding and lots of games.
We are delighted that our guest preacher will be The Dean of St Albans Cathedral, The Very Reverend Jo Kelly-Moore.

All are welcome, please do join us!

It will help with catering if you can sign up on the lists on the trolley by the main door.

We hope to see you there!
