🌳 As we are unable to meet together during November we have created a Forest Tots Trail around our trees. We hope you enjoy walking the trail and do bring older children with you. The trail will change every week.
🎨 It would be lovely if you could bring a painted stone with you to lay down at the Welcome Tree, and some chalk so the children can write/draw on the chalk boards at the Thank You Tree.
📚 Move on to the Sorry Tree where you will find a story to read and talk about; then on to the Worry Tree for a prayer. At the Praising Tree you will find an activity sheet to take away.
🌲 Just in front of this we have a new special Tree called the Remembering Tree. See if you can find it! There is a wreath there where you can add a poppy.
🍂 Of course the children can also bring their bags for collecting leaves to make pictures. Share them on our WhatsApp group, together with any ideas you may have.
Unsurprisingly, we’re having to do things a little bit differently this year and in fact, our annual meetings normally take place towards the end of April but that wasn’t possible because of lockdown.
They will now take place at 10.30 am on Sunday 20 September – in the churchyard if fine and in the church if the weather is not so good. If you attend the 8 am service please do come back and join us for these short but important meetings which we estimate will last about 45 minutes.
If you attend the 9.30 am service, please join in as usual with that and then factor in staying on afterwards for the meeting. And, finally, if it is wet, the 8 am service will be unaffected (hardy lot!) the 9.30 am service will be online only but do come down to the church afterwards for the meeting in church at 10.30 am and feel free to bring some coffee or tea with you.
It is really important that we have a good attendance as we elect our Churchwardens and Deputy Churchwardens, we hear the reports for the past year, and elect six members to represent you on the Parochial Church Council and four members to the Deanery Synod.
Copies of the annual reports booklet and accounts are available to download at the top of this page. They will also be circulated electronically beforehand where you are on our church electoral roll and we have an email address for you but there will also be limited
numbers of both in printed form to pick up from inside the church in the days leading up to the 20 September.
