St Mary’s Church Family is actually quite hard to pin down, certainly in a photograph. We have about 300 members who come together and make a fairly lively fellowship from all ages and backgrounds. The activities are wide ranging and a more complete list can be found in our Welcome booklet.

In these pages we have more details on:
St Mary’s Bell ringers. At St. Mary’s the bells are rung every Sunday morning for the Parish Eucharist and some Sunday evenings for Evensong. The Team also rings for special events. The pages here include news of recent peals and a video of them in action.

Charitable Finance Committee works on behalf of St Mary’s Church PCC to support local, national, and international projects over a three-year period.

The Friends of St Mary’s. St Mary’s is very lucky to have such an active friends team that raises money for the upkeep of the beautiful church buildings.

The Choir The Choir is the cornerstone of our weekly Parish Eucharist, monthly Sung Evensongs, and other special occasions. This page contains a sample of their singing.

PCC. The PCC, has the responsibility of co-operating with the Vicar in promoting the mission of the Church in its parish. The PCC also has the responsibility for the financial affairs of the church and the care and maintenance of the church fabric and its contents.

Mothers’ Union Our mission is to demonstrate the Christian faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the nurture of the family in its many forms.  Membership is open to anyone who has been baptised and who will support our aims and objectives. You do not have to be a mother or female but you have to believe in the importance of strengthening family life within society.
