From June 4th to September 3rd, as in previous years, St Mary’s will take the 9:30am Sunday service outdoors, (weather permitting).
We began worshipping outdoors out of necessity during lockdown, but so many people have enjoyed meeting in this way, and it is a great way to show our neighbours what we get up to on a Sunday morning. What better way to meet with our Creator.
Help is needed though, to set up equipment and furniture before the service starts – 15-30 minutes of your time is all we ask, both before and after the service. The more people come forward, the less often we all have to do it.
Please get in touch or speak to a churchwarden if you can help.
We are delighted that Quartet Camerata will return to St Mary’s, Redbourn with a Pop-Up Classics concert on Sunday 4th June at 3.00pm.
They will be performing Shostakovich’s dramatic Quartet No. 8, Haydn’s exuberant Quartet in D minor ‘the fifths’, and Britten’s sparkling ‘Three Divertimenti’. They will end the performance with Shostakovich’s wonderful Jazz Waltz No. 2.
To reserve a space for this concert please phone 01582 882159 or email bussereau@icloud.com. Following their recent sellout concert please reserve early to avoid disappointment!
