St Mary’s Holiday Club 2025: 11th – 15th August

We are delighted that our fun-packed Holiday Club will be running this year from Monday 11th – Friday 15th August – please do join us!

Holiday Club is open to primary school age children from those currently in Reception to year 6. It is a fun-packed activity week led by our Vicar, Revd Rachel and a wonderful team of adult and teenage volunteers.

Our theme for this year is ’The Big Summer Holiday Bucket LIst‘, so get for lots of fun in the sun!

Each day, children will rotate in their groups between sports and outdoor games, the craft tent, thinking sessions and some fun one-off activities.

Holiday Club runs from Monday 11th – Friday 15th August 2025, 9.30am – 1.00pm each day. Children will need a packed lunch each day, sensible footwear and clothes suitable for the weather.

The cost is £75 per child, with a sibling discount for more than one child of £60. If you would prefer to pay in instalments, or your child would like to attend but the cost will be prohibitive please email to let us know – your request will be treated confidentially.

We have 48 spaces and in previous years it has always sold out quickly with a waiting list, so do book early if your child would like to come along to avoid disappointment.

If you have any queries about Holiday Club please contact Ailsa Hulme.

We hope you can join us for a fun-filled week!

RSCM Music Sunday: 15th June 2025

St Mary’s church choir is looking for local vocal talent! If you enjoy singing and have a good voice, why not join us on 15th June for Music Sunday 2025, when we will be singing two pieces in the 10.00am service:

Adrian Batten: O sing joyfully, an English anthem dating from the early 17th Century.

John Rutter: O clap your hands, a sparkling and rhythmic piece written in 1973.

We rehearse on Friday evenings. If you read music we can give you copies of the music in advance, and we ask that you come to the final rehearsal on 13th June, but preferably the one before as well.

Or if you’re not so confident reading music, join us for 2 or 3 rehearsals to find out if this is for you
