Forest Tots Trail in the Churchyard

We’ve been busy making a Forest Tots trail for you to enjoy during your daily exercise, so pop down to church tomorrow or any time during the week to have a look.

There will be a new activities set up each week so do keep coming back.

Our theme for this half term will be the beautiful book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy which feels particularly relevant to us all at the moment.

This week’s trail includes:

1. Snowdrops to plant

Please bring a trowel with you, and look out for a basket of small snowdrop plants under the Welcome Tree. You can plant one or two underneath the Welcome Tree, but please be gentle as they are quite delicate!

2. Add to the Thank You Tree

Please bring a piece of chalk with you if you can, to draw or write something you are grateful for at the moment on the boards on the Thank You Tree.

3. Our new Happy House

We are so excited to have a project we can all work on together whilst we’re apart – building a Happy House! Penny and Keith have started us off with a basic structure but we need your help to make it bigger, better and more beautiful over the coming weeks.

Could you find some big sticks in the churchyard or when you’re out on other walks, to add to the structure? Or can you add pretty things you find in nature to the inside or outside? We can’t wait to see how it grows!

4. Activity Sheets

There will be activity sheets left in the porch – these will be laid out along the bench on the left hand side so do look out for them and please try to touch only the pack you will be taking away.

Do keep in touch and let us know how things are going for you, or if there’s anything we can help with, even if it’s just a chat on the phone from time to time.

Keep safe and we hope to see you soon.

With our love and prayers,

The Forest Tots Team xx
