Living in Love and Faith (LLF) is the name given to a set of resources helping the Church of England to explore and reflect on marriage, relationships, sexuality and identity. These are important issues but need care and sensitivity to discuss appropriately.
As part of LLF there is a five- week course which every parish in the Diocese is being encouraged to run.
Here at St Mary’s, we will be offering this in church on Monday evenings from 7.30 – 9.00pm on the following dates:
17 January
24 January
31 January
7 February
21 February
We invite any teenage or adult members of St Mary’s to join us. We do ask that you commit to try and come to all five sessions – it won’t work well with people dropping in and out of some sessions.
Please sign up on the sheet at the South Door if you wish to take part.
Like every church and organisation in the land, the last 18 months and the lockdown has seen some people who were active volunteers no longer able to resume their role.
We have a strong tradition at St Mary’s of all getting stuck in and playing an active part in the life of our church, so I do encourage you to consider what you could become involved in.
We need more:
Church cleaners
Welcomers at 8.00 am and 9.30 am Sunday services
Flower arrangers
People on the church coffee rota
Coffee on the Common volunteers
New members on the mowing rota
Helpers with our children’s work
Please speak to Will or one of the churchwardens if you can help in any of these areas. At the end of the day, St Mary’s is what we make it in this and every generation, so do think and pray about this.
We’d love you to join in with these things with us.
