Harvest Festival: Sunday 2nd October

This year we keep our St Mary’s Harvest Festival on Sunday 2nd October. Rev’d Diane Clark, Chaplain at St Albans Girls School will lead our quiet 8.00am service and our 9.30am All-Age Eucharist, and we have a special Choral Evensong for Harvest at 6.30pm.

We ask those who are able to bring non-perishable food gifts, which will be given to the St Albans and District Foodbank (Trussell Trust) which supplies the foodbank run out of the Methodist Church on Mondays.

Our choir have been working hard towards a special service of Choral Evensong at 6:30pm. Local farmers have been invited. Please swell the numbers and join in this celebration of God’s generous provision and our thankfulness to those who work hard to tend the land.

Our flower team would welcome any foliage, berries or flowers to help decorate the church for Harvest Thanksgiving. If you can help, please bring your contributions to church next Saturday 1st October between 9 and 9:30am, or contact Janet on 792289 to make other arrangements.
