A great big welcome to our 2020 ‘Virtual’ Beer & Carols. We can’t celebrate together in person this year, but we can still have a lot of fun and raise some money for a very deserving cause at the same time.
You’ll have to provide your own drinks, but we are creating a Beer & Carols video with all of your favourite carols to sing along to, introduced by Rev’d Will Gibbs and accompanied by David Beaman on keyboard.
The carols have been recorded by St Mary’s own virtual choir and congregation, and there are even a few solos here and there – look out for some familiar faces!
The evening is an opportunity to support our St Mary’s Charity of the Year ‘Pumps for Mpwapwa‘. Most of our planned fundraising events for 2020 have not been able to go ahead, so please do give generously to this excellent project.
So, you could meet up with friends virtually on Zoom, share the screen with the video playing, belt out the carols and descants together, then donate to our chosen charity when you’re finished.
Or you could stand on your doorsteps and do Beer & Carols with your neighbours, watching as the broadcast begins on YouTube.
Or just curl up on the sofa or get the family around the computer and raise the roof of your living room.
