St Mary’s Harvest Festival: Sunday 1st October

We look forward to keeping our Harvest Festival at 8.00am, 9.30am and 6.30pm on Sunday 1st October.

9.30 am        Family Harvest Eucharist

An All Age Service with Harvest Procession & Worship Band

Children are invited to bring gifts of fruit, vegetables, flowers, or dried goods, which will be distributed to our elderly neighbours in Redbourn.

Adults are encouraged to bring money to support the Bishop of St Albans’ 2023 Appeal Cracking Food Poverty Together, which will provide materially poor families in Kumi, Uganda, with chickens. These give them a sustainable and low-cost food source, and also provide a new income stream because they can sell some of their eggs and new chicks that hatch. Their first hatchlings are returned to the project so that another family can benefit.

6.30 pm        Festal Evensong for Harvest

Sung by St Mary’s Church Choir

Members of the local farming community are invited to join us, followed by refreshments in the Transept.
